Introduction to Lathe Work
with Roger Buss
Students
will learn basic woodturning styles and methods. At least 3 projects will
be worked on; a pen, a small bowl, and an instructor's choice.
Topics of instruction and discussion will include lathes, tools, sharpening
those tools, woods, various equipment accessories, finishes and finishing, and
some demonstrations. The class is for beginners up to experienced
beginners. An assistant instructor will be on hand also. Class is
limited to 6 students.
About the Teacher: Roger Buss
Roger is a 20+ year wood worker. Previously he was the working manager of the Peoria Woodcraft store. Roger was one of the in-store demonstrators as well as an instructor.
